Equine Adventures

Are you looking for that “something different” trekking experience?

Well you just found it!

About Us:

Glenlee Farm is at the foot of the Lees Valley. Here you will meet our happy, healthy, natural herd of horses, You can help tack up for the ride if you choose, but before we head out you will be taught how to play games with the horses and how to ride in a bitless bridle (it’s really quite simple), you’ll sit in the most comfortable treeless saddle ever,

Ride Description:

Join us in the Canterbury Foothills.
On the ride, with horses especially chosen for their calm nature but big hearts, you will travel through scenery that will take your breath away. Views across the Canterbury Plains to the Port Hills and down through the Valley and winding Ashley river.

Your nature experience will consist of an exhilarating ride in the fresh mountain air, with plenty of photographic moments on the way. Traversing the Lees Valley hill and down to into the mighty Ashley Gorge to take a break for a swim with your horse, stand under a beautiful waterfall, and take in the beauty of our Godzone. We have lunch and a cuppa while the horse dries off and rests, then it's back in the saddle to head home, or carry on over the other side of the river for the longer weekend trips.

We cater for experienced riders only.

Things to Bring:

You are required to wear suitable long pants (no inner seam preferable) and footwear is to be sturdy as some walking maybe necessary.
